Welcome summer!!! Here are our Top 5 things to do in June this year!
40thAnniversary Party – Saturday June 1st @ Kiwi Nurseries from 10:00AM – 5:00PM. This year, Kiwi Nurseries is celebrating its 40th Birthday! And they’ve decided to throw a great family-friendly party with face painting, a bouncy castle, and cake. Everyone will get to take home a free strawberry plant as a thank you for helping them celebrate.
Kidzstock Festival – Saturday June 1st– Sunday June 2nd @ Putting Horse Ranch.
Kidzstock Festival is a music festival just for kids! But we know the adults will enjoy themselves too. What’s not to enjoy? Horseback rides, mini golf, a free pancake breakfast, face painting, and so much more! Make sure to grab your tickets for this free event by going on the Putting Horse Ranch website.
Large Item Pick Up Spruce Grove – June 10-14th
We look forward to Large Item Pick Up every year. It’s a chance for us to de-clutter and get rid of a few larger than life items kicking around our house without having to drag them to the dump ourselves. This year, there are a few new rules though, so make sure to check out the City of Spruce Grove’s website for more information on the do’s and don’ts!
Tri-A-Taste Food Fair – Saturday June 15th @ Columbus Park in Spruce Grove from 2:00PM – 10:00PM
Don’t kid yourself, we looooove good food. But getting a chance to sample great food, wine, and beer from the region’s most popular restaurants all while listening to some local musicians sounds even better to us. Food tickets are available to purchase directly at the event. That way you can sample what you’re heart desires, or keep going back for seconds if you’ve found a tasty gem! Visit the Spruce Grove Chamber website for more info.
School’s Out For the Summer! – Saturday June 29th– Sunday June 30th @ Happy Acres from 10:00AM – 7:00PM
What better way to end the school year than with ice cream of course! Head on over to Happy Acres to enjoy some delicious ice cream sandwiches, or one of their 12 Foothills Ice Cream flavours! Let the kids play and visit with the animals. What a great way to truly kick off the beginning of summer break!
